Soo.. another distraction! Me and spetch are teaming up to do goro's lair in the polycount brawl contest.
Lots of cool sculpting to be done!!
and here is just a 20 min sculpt/sketch I did on my lunch break. thinking the rocks at the base will be skulls/bones/watermellons in a more refined version.
Started to work on an engie backpack for tf2. Decided to put in on the backburner for a bit and get some hp work in. Also, the last scene I was working on has more progress, I just need to get around to getting some good lighting and shots.
Due to my current project at work, I haven't made a complete environment myself from start to end, so I'm hoping to get those gears going again. Giving UDK a try and hoping this won't take more than a month!!
Just the shell right now. Mats, uvs aren't done on it, but once I can get it fleshed out I'll do a perty paintover for the next stage. :)
If anyone has ever played minecraft then you have probably encountered a creeper. Just thought I'd take a shot at redesigning it in a more realistic view. The in game version is a block green monster with 4 legs. My vision is a slime covered demon.
Never got around to finishing these to submit with my polypack. Hoping that maybe with these they'll complete my set and further the odds of my pack getting put in game!!.
thinking they'll be a misc item, attaching to the bip_foot bones. There is only one other shoe item in game, so hopefully this could be a possible hit for people to customize their character other than their head.
Already have 7 items submitted for tf2, going to add another. It has inspiration from a streetsweeper. Had to take some design freedom from what it looks like in real life to fit the team fortress style.
heres an update. Think I'm calling the mesh done and on to laying out uvs and texturing.
year or so old, found it on my old work harddrive. Might try and get the time to redo this and bring it up to quality. its based off a turret concept done by austin cline. its actually based on old terminal velocity stuff done by our studio back in the day.
Working on a private project, exploring different approaches to a stylized look. Progress is based from top being first pass to bottom being the latest approach.
managed to get my pack imported into game. Lots of changes needed now that I got a better view of it. Making changes to some of the shapes and giving it some funk and wear. I decided it might best be an engineer item to go with the trap/teleporter.
polypack contest is over, but I'm still in the mood for tf2 style. Been wanting to do something gb related ever since we released ghostbusters last year.
Started doing a variation of the ghost trap... life trap..
